The Friends of the Mission Campus (FMC) is a non-profit organization committed to making college a reality now!

The College Now! Program, sponsored by the FMC, is open to all high school students who attend John O’Connell High School and Mission High School, and The Seven Tepees Youth Program. College Now! has a dual focus on college access and college success, working with students in a continuum from high school through the first critical year of college. The program’s primary focus is on remediation and acceleration at the high school level through dual and concurrent enrollment courses designed to help high school students strengthen their academic skills  in core subjects (English, Mathematics), acquire or recover high school credit, and graduate ready to perform in entry-level college credit courses.

About the College Now! Program

  • Focuses on building a strong foundation in reading, writing, and grammar, offering two noncredit courses from CCSF Transitional Studies Department, TRST 3331-High School Academic Reading/Writing (.05 units) and TRST Grammar and Writing (.05 units).
  • The Program also offers Math 45-Preparation for Statistics, which prepares students for college-level statistic courses. MATH 45 is a prerequisite for Math 840-Probability and Statistics, an AA degree-applicable and UC/CSU transferable course that is intended for students in non-technical majors goals.
  • Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to apply for partial scholarships  offered by College Now! and Seven Tepees Youth Program.
